From the Notebook

Hi there! This is a place where I’ll share stories or poetry with you! I may have posted these in my blog as well, but this is where I collect all of the pages from my…well, digital notebook of sorts!

(also, just click on the pictures to be brought to the story!)

Enjoy! 🙂

Fallen Stars is a short story about a coastal wolf pup called Seastar who lives in a world where light has been extinguished and darkness is the only thing she knows. Light is but a dwindling memory in her heart…that is, until a star falls and a Seastar is carried into the light. Can she bring light back to her world? Or will darkness snuff out the last child star?

“Miracle” is a free verse poem I wrote about faith and the miracle of God’s love!

Can I Be Yours? is a story told through free verse poetry from the point of view of a shelter dog who longs for a family. Day after day, she asks the people walking by “can I be yours?” and day after lonely day, they shake their heads, “no.”

She holds onto hope for what seems like forever, but eventually, it begins to fade, and she starts to wonder: will I ever have a home?

LYDIA is a girl who struggles with believing her friends lies about her. CUE is a dog with no family and no name (until Lydia meets her, that is.) TIDE is the story of the terrible night they meet…in the merciless ocean, Lydia struggling to breathe, Cue alone in the dark, and a desperate hope of survival in the waters between them.

“Blessings Through Tears” is a free verse poem I wrote on one of the hardest nights of my life, for one of my best friends in the entire world.
